Next up on our review of the weekend we focus on the events hosted on Sunday – Fen10, Bedgebury Half marathon & ATW Grafham Duathlon.
**Fenland10**Out west from within the Fens the 10mile road race hosted by Fenland Running Club at West Walton School in Wisbech – four members took on the course. First WAC home on the day was Wendy Burgess in a time of 1:24:55(PB), another Personal Best for Wendy and the last to complete the Holy Grail of all the road races in her wonderful year so far! Christine Williams (1:34:32) was next home for WAC and secured 2nd place in the Female 70+ category. The other two runners were Marina Murdoch (01:59:20) and Paul Timson (02:00:09). Well done you all!
**Bedgebury Half Marathon**From the edge of Bedgebury Forest in Kent Tracy Stevens took on The The Bedgebury Forest Half Marathon – the undulating route followed the trail route through the forest and had some lovely areas of mud. Tracy completed the course in a time of 02:29:02 – well done Tracy!
**ATW Grafham Duathlon**Lastly we travel to Grafham Water in Huntingdonshire for the ATW Grafham Water Duathlon, the event incorporating the 2023 British Standard Distance Duathlon Championships. The event was graced by the presence of Stephen Dixon, who took on the 10km run, 38km cycle and 5km run to finish in a time of 02:25:02, securing 6th position in the Male 60-64 category.
