Next up on our weekly review we look back at the last race of the Sportlink Specialist Sports Ltd GP series for 2024;
**Bure Valley 10 mile**
The 10 mile event starting and finishing in the North Norfolk village of Banningham saw 22 WAC members venture around the countryside race hosted by Bure Valley Harriers. First home for WAC was Kevin Holland in a time of 59:24, closely followed by Ben Beynon (PB 🎖– 59:52) and Chris Bullock (61:55). Our first females over the line were Claire Woodcroft & Eloise Peek in a joint time of 72:47, followed by Lisa Greengrass (75:14).
We had four shiny new 🚨Personal bests🚨 from the weekend – Ben Beynon (PB🎖️), Claire Woodcroft (PB🎖️), Kimberley Powles (PB🎖️ – 85:46) & Jo Rayner (PB 🎖️– 1:47:32). We also had a new club record 🏅 – Tim Seville (CR🏅) set a new M65-69 with a time of 67:51. Well done Tim!
We also had a numerous age category placings; Kevin Holland 3rd🥉 M45-49, Chris Bullock 3rd🥉M50-54, Tim Seville 1st🥇 M65-69, Claire Woodcroft 2nd🥈 F40-44, Eloise Peek 2nd🥈 Female Open, Lisa Greengrass 2nd🥈 F45-49 and Graham Walsh 1st🥇 M75+ (80:17). Our Male team of Kevin Holland, Ben Beynon & Chris Bullock also secured the 1st place🏆🥇🥇🥇 team prize. Well done to all the runners on the day and throughout the GP series! 🙌🏻
