W/E 28.09.2024 - Loch Ness Festival of running, Robin Hood Half & Run Sandringham Event

First up on our weekly review we travel to North of the boarder.

**Baxters Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running **

The event that includes 5k, 10k & Marathon distances attracted two WACers to Northern 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 – Zoe Jones took on the Loch Ness Marathon & Marina Murdoch opted for the River Ness 10k. Zoe completed the picturesque 26.2mile course in a time of 4hrs 1min 51sec, whereas Marina finished the point-to-point 10k in a time of 69:18. Well done you two! 🙌🏻

Slightly further south in the midlands;

**Robin Hood Marathon Events**

We had a single entry on the day – Paul Timson completed the single lap 13.1 mile course through the central Nottingham race. Paul ventured around the course in a time of 2:58:58. Well done Paul! 🙌🏻

Venturing back into Norfolk;

**Run Sandringham event**

We had 8 runners at the Run Sandringham event hosted by Good Running Events Ltd. – William Parker was our sole runner in the 5k event, finishing 6th overall in a time of 19:47.

In the 10k event, we had 7 WACers, Alexandra Ely was the first member home in a time of 42:54 and finishing 3rd female🏆🥉 overall. Next home was Kevin Simpson (42:59), followed by Ka Trina Minns (58:48), Scott Robinson (62:46), Lisa Kemp (64:34), Samantha Grainger (71:25) & Gemma Brooks (71:52). Well done everyone! 🙌🏻
