Now we focus on this week’s running events in our weekly review;
**Marine Corps Marathon**
Staying in 🇺🇸America🇺🇸 we had Adam Baker taking on the ‘People Marathon’ as it is known – The Marine Corps Marathon is managed by the 🪖US Marines🪖 in Arlington, where is starts and finishes after visiting the US capital of 🏦 Washington DC 🏦. Adam smashed out another great marathon in a time of 3:07:42 and managed a 2nd place🥈 M50 finish – Well done Adam! 🙌🏻
Not as far out west;
**Fen 10**
The 10 mile event hosted by Fenland Running Club is set just east of Wisbech and had 5 WACers in attendance – an extremely great day out for all with 4 🚨shiny🚨 Personal bests and 2 age category finishers. First home for WAC was Matt Webster; in 12th place overall, in a time of 60:27 (PB🎖️) and the first of the PBs. Next home was Mark Armstrong (PB🎖️ – 67:10) followed close by Kate Gooding (PB🎖️ – 67:19), before Claire Brown (75:47) & Dani Gilbert (PB🎖️ – 80:05). Our two age category winners were Kate Gooding 1st🥇 F40 & Claire Brown 1st🥇 F60 – well done you two and well done all for the new PBs! 🙌🏻 Thank you also to GH Sports Photos for their photographs 📸📸
Last but not least – our international man of mystery;
**Pumpkin Plod event**
Maybe not too much travelling involved this time for Keith Blake, however the event hosted by Zig Zag Running Group was over the border in Suffolk. The event with a 🎃Halloween🎃 inspired event medal for the finishers had various distances over the day from 5k (1 lap) all the way up to Ultra marathon (11 laps) – Keith took on the 10k distance and completed the course in a time of 54:17 in 7th place overall – Well done Keith! 🙌🏻
