W/E 25.01.25 - Reepham XC

Next up on our weekly report is a club favourite;

**Reepham XC**

The brilliant Reepham XC hosted at Description: 🚂 Whitwell And Reepham Station  🚈 on Marriott’s Way & surrounding farmer's field / river by Reepham Runners - the famously ☢️ boggy swamps ☢️ still lived up to their challenging reputation! An ever popular event amongst our members, we had 13 runners taking part on the day. This year the 10k race, officially 2 laps, included a 1 lap (5k) option to the mad runners;

Within the 2 lap race; first home for WAC was Adrian Hall (48:15) finishing 10th overall. Adrian was followed home by Craig Skipper (49:32), Lisa Greengrass  (51:17), Kate Gooding (51:59), Nathan Warren  (53:13), Tony Beales  (53:40), Claire Brown (53:49) & Andy Baxter (54:08).

Congratulations to Lisa Greengrass & Kate Gooding who finished 2nd🥈 & 3rd🥉 females overall respectively! Other performances included age category placing for; Adrian Hall 1st 🥇M60+, Craig Skipper 3rd 🥉 M40-49 & Claire Brown 1st 🥇 F60+.

Within the 5k option we had 4 runners; Emma Adcock was first home in a time of 55:39, followed by Marina Murdoch , Jo Rayner & Amanda Gray - the trio completing the mudfest in a time of 61:08! Unfortunately their fourth member of the group, Eva Osborne sustained an Achilles injury whilst running and had to pull out of the run – we wish Eva a speedy recovery and hope to see you back out there soon!
