W/E 25.01.25 - Arc of Attrition & Town of Celebration Half marathon

First up on our weekly review we review our runners from Saturday’s trail event;

**Arc of Attrition by UTMB 2025**

The event from Cornwall’s challenging coastal path, hosted by UTMB World Series , contains a 100, 50 & 25 mile event – WAC had three representatives in the South West; Josh Castlo-Hall taking on the 50 mile event & Alison Armstrong  & Matt Webster the 25 mile event.

First in the 25 mile event, taking in 🗻1000+m of elevation🗻, Alison Armstrong & Matt Webster completed the course just before the 5 & ¾ hr mark in a time of 5hrs 44mins 48secs. Josh completed the 50 mile race, which included over 🗻2300m of elevation🗻, in a time of 8hrs 44mins & 57secs to finish 10th overall! Well done all three of you! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Now from the South West of England to the ☀️Sunshine state☀️;

**Town of Celebration Half marathon**

Our sole representative in Celebration, Florida was Susan Guest - the half marathon event from Osceola County is self-billed as ‘Run through one of America's prettiest neighbourhoods (as selected by Forbes Magazine) on what may be the flattest course you will ever run!’ and it didn’t disappoint as Sue set a new 🚨shiny 🚨 Personal best time of 1hr 53mins 7secs (PB🎖️) and achieved a 3rd🥉 place F60-64 finish – Congratulations Sue! 🙌🏻
