W/E 24.02.2024 - Ross' 30th in London, Tarpley20 & Stody Estate trail event

This week on #TeamThursday we review our member’s activities from three events: -

** London Winter Run 10k 2024 **

First up from central London 🏙️ we had two runners running around the capital – 🎉 birthday boy 🎉 Ross Palgrave (37:52) was first WAC home finishing 184th amongst a field of 17822 – fantastic achievement Ross and Happy 30th birthday. Our other runner was Kevin Denmark, who continued his great form and finished in a time of 51:27 and was 20th M65 home.

** Tarpley 20 miler **

Next up and slightly closer to home was the infamous Tarpley 20 hosted by Saint Edmund Pacers  – we had 6 members making their way around the course south of Bury St. Edmunds. First home was David Houghton in a time of 2:19:45, followed by Kate Gooding (PB 🎖️ – 2:24:57) & Claire Brown (2:42:18) – both whom finished 2nd 🥈🥈 in their category, FV40 & FV60 respectively. Our other three runners in the middle of marathon training were Robbie Starling (2:42:44), Eloise Peek (2:48:45) & Julia Kennelly (3:20:23). Well done to all of you!

** Stody Estate Trail Run event **

Over in North Norfolk at the 🌳Stody Estate🌳 - we had runners taking part in the 4, 8 and 12k distances. Dee Middleton Hall-Beales (25:38) was 3rd🥉🏆female home and 1st🥇 F55 in the 4k event. Claire Woodcroft (39:54) was 2nd 🥈🏆female home🥈and club legend Eva Osborne (57:54) was 1st 🥇F70 in the 8k event. Lastly we had 6 runners take on the new longer distance of 12k - Adrian Hall (56:46) was 1st WAC home and was 1st 🥇M55, followed quickly by Maria Boyall (58:46) who was 2nd 🥈🏆female & 1st 🥇F50 home. Other WAC runners were Mark Tufts (61:59), WAC XC debutant Kevin Simpson (65:35), Kevin Garwood (68:56) Tony Beales (70:27). Top work everyone!
