Next up we continue our weekly review from nearly a fortnight ago; next up some headlight fun on trails….. What could go wrong?
**Run Luminate 5k**
14 WAC members drove to Sandringham to take part in the Inaugural “Luminate” 5k on the Sandringham Estate, hosted by Good Running Events Ltd.. The route was two loops of the Luminate trail, which is open to the public over 🎅🎄Christmas🎄🎅, with an additional dark bit through the woods. Reports were the Luminate section was 🪄magical🪄 with moving 🎆lights🎆 on 🎄trees🎄, light tunnels, and even a lit-up stepping stone section. First home for WAC over the two separate 5k races was Kevin Simpson finishing in a time of 26:29, followed by Kevin Denmark (28:42), Ka Trina Minns (30:28), Anneke Cook (33:43), Katie Whitmore (33:43), Louise Victoria Boyce (37:30), Lyn Lyn Ottaway (37:30), Stephen Dixon (38:13), Rachel Birrell (38:14), Jo Delf (38:14), Dan Brocklehurst plus gold hot pants🩲 (38:15), Scott Robinson (45:15) & Laura Rose Seville (49:04). Although this was a great fun event, we still had some category winners - Kevin Denmark 1st🥇 M65+ and our very own Chairperson Katie Whitmore 3rd🥉 F50-54 – Well done you two and everyone else that enjoyed their run amongst the lights!
