**Colney Lane Parkrun Mob Match 2023**
This week we have more XC fun – Firstly we started with our Annual Mob match versus the lovely Norfolk Gazelles at Colney Lane Parkrun . As we reported on our Facebook page on Saturday we able to win back the 👑 ‘Mob Match crown’ 👑 after the Gazelles had won the year before. 80 WAC members turned up, too many to add to the collage so we went with some of the best outfits & group running photos provided by club chair Katie Whitmore, along with 70 Gazelles and after a quick calculation from the organisers our total position score was 8611 against Gazelles’ 9886.
Great running by all and a brilliant atmosphere on the day.
**'Let it Stow' Trail Half marathon**
Next up we had 12 members south of the boarder in Stowmarket for the popular ‘Let it Stow’ trail half marathon hosted by Raw trail events – majority donning 🌲🎄🤶🏼🎅🏻 festive attire 🤶🏼🎅🏻🌲🎄for the slog through the Suffolk countryside.
Matt Webster was first WAC home and first over the line overall 🥇🏆, followed by first female Alison Armstrong, who completed the WAC double 🥇🏆. Kate Gooding also finished 3rd female home 🥉, beating Claire Brown over the line. Our other members running on the day were Lisa Greengrass, Mark Tufts & Keith Blake along with our Christmas fancy dress wearers; Gareth Seville, Claire Brown, Hannah John and the trio of Caroline Pocock, Julia Kennelly & Kim Reader.
**Ryston XC Series - Race 3**
Lastly on we had 4 members over in West Norfolk for Race 3 of the Ryston Runners XC Grand Prix series over the 6.5km distance – first home was Stephen Woodcroft (24:14) claiming 3rd🥉M40 before Jet Watkinson (25:15), who was 2nd female 🥈 & 1st🥇F40. James Heaney (30:15) and Kevin Denmark (32:44) completed the WAC members returning home.
