W/E 11.11.23 - ATW Remembrance Run, George Munday 10k & Ryston Runners XC GP – Race 2

This weekend (apart from the Run Alton Towers event) we had one event on the Saturday, ATW Remembrance Runs, and two on the Sunday; The George Munday 10k 2023 and the 2nd race the Ryston Runners AC XC Grand prix series.

** ATW Remembrance Run Essex** On Saturday, Louise McDonnell returned to RAF Debden in North Essex after her successful race in a Athletics Norfolk vest earlier this year – this time for the ATW Remembrance Half Marathon. Louise completed the half marathon in a time of 85:27 to finish an impressive 7th overall and first female home. Congratulations Louise!

**George Munday 10k** The race hosted by Three Counties Running Club on Remembrance Sunday is well-known to be flat course - we had 4 runners on the day with Christine Williams first home in a time of 55:18, followed by Rob Stratton (PB – 57:25), Marina Murdoch (69:44) & Paul Timson (69:46). Congratulations to Christine who was 3rd F70 and Rob Stratton - continuing his Personal Best streak!

**Ryston Runners XC GP – Race 2** Finally, closer to home and off the roads – the 2nd race of the Ryston Runners cross country GP took place this Sunday on the 9k course this time. First back for WAC was Juliette Watkinson in a time of 34:21 before Adrian Hall (36:11), Claire Woodcroft (39:06) & Kevin Denmark (44:30). Congratulations to all the runners involved and well done to Jet who was first female home - achieving 1st F40 along with Adrian Hall who was 1st M55 and Claire Woodcroft 2nd F40. #TeamWAC
