Next up on our Weekly review – we head into the mud and our Cross country races from last weekend;
First up – we avoid the 🐾swamp🐾!
**Broadland Country Park Cross Country Series – Race 1**
The regenerated Horsford XC series hosted by Norwich Road Runners has a new lease of life under the Broadland Country Park XC and we had 7 members running along the boardwalk sections of the lovely Country Park. First home for WAC and first home🏆🥇 overall was Chris Gay in a time of 34:39; Chris was followed home by Will Parker (39:02), Adrian Hall (40:01), Gareth Seville (40:11), Martin Jones (46:36), Tracie Draeger (55:19) & Robert Ewin (66:28).
Chris was joined in the placer categories by Adrian 1st🥇 M60, Tracie Draeger 2nd🥈 F60 & Robert Ewin 2nd🥈 M70 – Well done all! 🙌🏻

Next up was another new event however in Suffolk this time;
**Run Henham**
The new 5k / 10k event hosted by EPIC Norfolk - Exercising People In Communities Norfolk was held in the stunning Henham Park ground (home to the Latitude Festival for our 🎸🪘🎼music lovers🎼🪘🎸) near to the Suffolk coastal town of Southwold. Both routes were single lap courses starting a few hours apart, attracted 7 WACers to travel south East – three took on the 5k event and the rest over the longer distance. First home for WAC on the 10k loop was Tony Beales in a time of 44:52, followed by Claire Brown (46:20), Ross Palgrave (46:38) & Keith Blake (47:39) – Claire Brown finishing 1st🥇 F60-64 with Tony & Keith narrowly missing out on the top 3 with 4th place finishes in the M55-59 & M60-64 categories respectively.
