And now lastly from our weekly review, we look back to the big event of the weekend;
**Gazelle Stampede**
Always a WAC favourite – the Stampede hosted by the Norfolk Gazelles at the Norwich Showground has an individual 5k and relay race (4 x 5k) hosted on the day. Our 3 WAC representatives in the individual dash were Lacey Bareham (19:04) who was 1st Lady home 🏆🥇, Kevin Simpson (19:48) 3rd Senior Male 🥉 & Eva Osborne (30:51) 1st 🥇F75+ - Well done you three!
Within the Relay we had 6 teams of four which included some familiar faces doubling up! The quickest home over the afternoon for WAC was Dan Brocklehurst in a time of 18:40, sharply followed by his fellow teammate a couple of legs on, Paul Fairchild (18:42) & then Todd Lake (19:07) completes our top three males. First Female WACer home again was Lacey Bareham, creeping home under the 20minute mark for the second time on the day with a time of 19:56, followed by Alexandra Ely (20:35) & then Claire Woodcroft (21:09).
There were 2 new 🚨shiny Personal bests🚨 on the day by Kimberley Powles (PB🎖️ -24:25) & Louise Victoria Boyce (PB🎖️ – 28:46) – Well done you two! Also Congratulations to our age category winners; Todd Lake 1st M60+, Lacey Bareham 3rd Senior Female & Alex Ely 3rd F40+ along with our first places super-vet team ‘The Geri-Actives’ comprising of Todd Lake, Yitzhak Ben-aroya (21:14), Kevin Frazer (21:28) & Stephen Dixon (22:44) 🏆🥇🥇🥇🥇.
