W/E 04.01.25 - WAC NYD 10k!

First up on our first weekly review for the New Year is our very own 10k race;

**WAC New Years Day 10k**

Not the biggest turnout by our members this year, mainly because we were too busy cheering everyone the 1st Sportlink Grand Prix Series 10k race of the year, however 13 WACers took part in the event that marks the first day of the year on the Athletics Norfolk /Norfolk Road Running Running calendar. Akash Chilleystone was first home for WAC in a time of 38:12; Akash was followed home by Chris Bullock (38:24) & David Houghton (39:05). Our first three WAC females home were Harriet Carr (39:36), followed by Jo Lowe (59:46) & Jo Rayner (65:40).

Well done to everyone that took part & congratulations to our category winners; Harriet Carr 2nd Female 🏆🥈overall, Chris Bullock 2nd🥈 M50-54, David Houghton 3rd🥉M50-54 & Eva Osborne 3rd🥉F75+ (66:54). We also managed a 2nd🥈place in the men’s team competition with the trio of Akash, Chris & David.
